Kuwait Condemns Attacks on Civilian Facilities in Kassala and Portsudan

Kuwait City: The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed Kuwait’s condemnation and denunciation of the attacks on vital civilian facilities in the cities of Kassala and Portsudan. The ministry described these attacks as a dangerous turning point in the ongoing conflict.

According to Sudan News Agency, the statement was published on the official website of the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA). The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Kuwait’s call to refrain from targeting civilian facilities and centers, emphasizing their importance to the lives of the population.

The ministry also urged for a ceasefire and adherence to the Jeddah Declaration issued on May 11, 2023. The declaration stresses the importance of protecting civilians while maintaining Sudan’s independence and territorial integrity, alongside supporting its national institutions.
