Khartoum:According to Sudan News Agency, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, held a meeting at the Republican Palace with a delegation from the Dar Masalit Sultanate of West Darfur State.
Sultan Saad Abdel-Rahman Bahr-Eddin, the Sultan of Dar Masalit, informed General Al-Burhan about the goals of the First Consultative Forum of the People of West Darfur - Dar Masalit Sultanate. The forum, themed 'The Road to Al-Geneina,' seeks to unify native administrations and civil components within the state, foster trust among them, and enhance their participation in reconstruction and rebuilding efforts. It also aims to promote peaceful coexistence and mend the social fabric.
During the meeting, they discussed the state's current developments, the vision for the post-war phase, and the ongoing efforts to ensure peace, security, and stability.
The delegation also expressed their congratulations to the Armed Forces and supporting forces for their victories. They reaffirmed the support of all West Darfur State components for the Armed Forces as they engage in the Battle of Dignity, as well as their backing for legitimate state institutions.
