Khartoum:Burundi's Honorary Consul, Dr. Abdullah Khalafallah, emphasized that Burundian President Évariste Ndayishimiye's initiative as the African Union Chairperson seeks to enhance communication with Sudanese political groups and promote Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue as a key solution to the ongoing crisis.According to Sudan News Agency, the initiative involves direct meetings with various Sudanese political entities, allowing Ndayishimiye to gain insight into the political landscape and the differing positions of parties involved. This approach aims to bolster efforts towards a national dialogue.Khalafallah highlighted that these meetings offer the AU Chairperson a comprehensive understanding of the political forces' demands and visions, enabling him to support dialogue efforts effectively. He reiterated that the resolution should be driven by Sudanese efforts.The Honorary Consul conveyed a message from President Ndayishimiye to the Sudanese National Forces Coordination, led by Mohamed Sid Ahmed. The me ssage, received along with a memorandum advocating African solutions to African problems, expressed gratitude for the confidence in Sudan's national will to achieve peace.President Ndayishimiye reaffirmed the African Union's active role in resolving the Sudanese crisis, urging all parties to participate in dialogue. He stated that peace is attainable when there is genuine will.
