Khartoum: A training workshop on strengthening Sudanese specialists in preventive conservation and cultural heritage handling concluded at the National Museum in Khartoum.
According to Sudan News Agency, the workshop was organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, the National Corporation for Antiquities and Museums, and other partners.
Officials highlighted strong cooperation with UNESCO, including the recovery of more than 500 looted artifacts and support for museum rehabilitation. They stressed the importance of building national capacity in heritage preservation and continuing such training programs to protect Sudan's cultural legacy.
