Khartoum: Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Malik Agar, met at his office on Saturday with the newly appointed World Food Programme (WFP) Representative in Sudan, Mr. Abdullah Al-Wardat. The meeting focused on strengthening joint cooperation between the WFP and the Government of Sudan to support humanitarian efforts and improve living conditions amidst current challenges.
According to Sudan News Agency, both parties emphasized the need to expand the scope of humanitarian interventions and enhance coordination with national authorities. This would ensure a more efficient and effective delivery of assistance to the most vulnerable groups in Sudan.
The TSC Vice-President reaffirmed the government's commitment to strengthening its partnership with the WFP. He expressed support for all efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of citizens and promoting stability in the region.
Mr. Al-Wardat, on behalf of the WFP, reiterated the organization's commitment to continue supporting Sudan. He emphasized working closely with government entities and partners to achieve food security and promote sustainable livelihoods across the nation.
