Two New Members Sworn Into Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council

Khartoum: Dr. Salma Abdul-Jabbar Al-Mubarak and Dr. Nawara Abu Mohamed Mohamed Tahir were officially sworn in as members of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) on Saturday. The oath-taking ceremony was presided over by General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, who is both the President of the TSC and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

According to Sudan News Agency, the ceremony was attended by several key figures, including TSC Secretary-General Lt. Gen. Mohamed Al-Gali Ali Youssef and the Head of the Judiciary in the Red Sea State, who represented the Chief Justice at the event. In a press statement, Dr. Salma expressed her gratitude to the TSC President for his trust in her capabilities. She commended the armed forces for their accomplishments in the Battle of Dignity, attributing these successes to the support of the Sudanese populace.

Dr. Salma also extended her condolences to the families of the martyrs who lost their lives in the Battle of Dignity, recognizing the sacrifices made by both military and civilian individuals for the country’s honor and pride. Dr. Nawara, on her part, vowed to dedicate her efforts towards Sudan’s advancement. She affirmed her commitment to serving the Sudanese people and working towards ensuring their prosperity and well-being.
