Khartoum: Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander Malik Aggar, met on Wednesday with the Director General of the Agricultural Bank, Mohamed Adam Abdel-Karim. The meeting focused on vital agricultural and financial strategies.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Director General of the Agricultural Bank stated in a press release that the discussions covered the ongoing arrangements to finance the upcoming winter season. The bank aims to ensure the availability of all necessary supplies for this period. Additionally, they are preparing for the harvesting operations for the summer agricultural season across several states. Abdel-Karim also mentioned that preparations are in progress to procure burlap for the forthcoming harvesting activities.
Abdel-Karim further highlighted the bank’s role in purchasing agricultural crops directly from farmers. The bank’s efforts are crucial in providing strategic stocks for various states and supporting the armed forces. This initiative is part
of the broader strategy to stabilize and boost the agricultural sector.
