Port Sudan: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, received a written message from Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi regarding the enhancement of bilateral relations between Sudan and Egypt. This development was announced during his meeting in Portsudan with the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Ambassador Badr Abdel-Aati, who handed over the message in the presence of Sudan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ali Youssef.
According to Sudan News Agency, Ambassador Ali Youssef stated in a press release that the Egyptian Minister’s visit reflects the robust and evolving relations between the two nations. The visit comes at a critical time, amidst efforts to transition from the war of dignity to peace, aiming to reconstruct Sudan and extricate it from the aftermath of conflict. The meeting was described as fruitful, with the written message from President Al-Sisi emphasizing the shared dest
iny of the Nile Valley peoples.
President Al-Burhan expressed gratitude to President Al-Sisi and the Egyptian people for their warm reception of Sudanese refugees and the services provided to them. The Sudanese Foreign Minister also mentioned ongoing discussions about challenges faced by Sudanese individuals in Egypt, with commitments from Minister Abdel-Aati to address these issues.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister noted that his visit was in line with directives from President Al-Sisi to convey Egypt’s support and solidarity with Sudan. The discussions included regional developments and a commitment to enhance cooperation and coordination in various forums. He also expressed Egypt’s dedication to facilitating Sudan’s reentry into the African Union.
Ambassador Abdel-Aati highlighted ongoing water-related consultations, recognizing the shared concerns of both countries as downstream nations. He also mentioned a recently held economic forum for businessmen in Cairo, where TSC President Al-Burhan extended thank

The meeting was attended by key diplomatic figures, including the Sudanese Ambassador to Egypt General Imad-Eddin Adawi and the Egyptian Ambassador to Sudan, Ambassador Hani Salah.
