TSC President’s Adviser Briefs African Group at United Nations on Sudan Developments

Khartoum: Adviser to the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council for Political Affairs and Foreign Relations, Dr. Amjad Farid, expressed appreciation to the African Group at the United Nations for hosting him to deliver a briefing on developments in Sudan. In a post on X, he discussed the current situation in Sudan and the role of external influences in the ongoing conflict.

According to Sudan News Agency, Dr. Farid highlighted the war waged by the Rapid Support Forces militia, which receives direct support from the United Arab Emirates. He characterized this conflict as the most significant humanitarian crisis in the world. He further elaborated on the UAE's involvement, suggesting that their project is not limited to Sudan but aims to destabilize the entire African continent.

Dr. Farid mentioned that African ambassadors are cognizant of the criminal objectives of the RSF and its regional backers. These ambassadors have made it clear that African states will not recognize any structures or institutions that emerge from what they have termed a 'bloody project.' The briefing underscored the concerns of African nations regarding the impact of the RSF's actions and those supporting them.
