TSC President Engages in Bilateral Talks with South Sudan’s First Vice-President.

JUBA: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan met with First Vice-President of the Republic of South Sudan, Dr. Riek Machar, in a discussion centered on enhancing bilateral relations for the mutual benefit of the two nations’ peoples.

According to Sudan News Agency, the Sudanese Ambassador to Juba, Lt. Gen. Issam-Eddin Karar, highlighted in a press statement that the visit by the TSC President received significant attention from President Salva Kiir Mayardit of South Sudan. The two leaders engaged in two closed meetings to explore joint issues, cooperative initiatives, and strengthen bilateral relations.

Ambassador Karar noted that the meetings produced favorable outcomes, anticipated to positively influence the cooperative path between Sudan and South Sudan. He described the engagement between General Al-Burhan and Dr. Riek Machar as productive, focusing on joint cooperation matters between the two countries.

The Sudanese delegation included Minister of Ener
gy and Oil, Dr. Mohi-Eddin El-Naeem, Director General of the General Intelligence Service, General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein El-Amin, and Ambassador Lt. Gen. Essam-Eddin Karar.
