TSC Member Jabir Chairs First Meeting of High Committee on AML/CFT and Human Trafficking Standards

Khartoum: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jabir, chaired the first meeting of the High Committee overseeing the implementation of standards related to combating money laundering, terrorist financing, human trafficking, and arms financing. The meeting reviewed the relevant standards and requirements for combating money laundering and terrorist financing, in addition to identifying weaknesses and advancing policy implementation.

According to Sudan News Agency, Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan (CBOS), Amina Mirghani, stated that the committee's work would contribute to creating a conducive economic environment, facilitating the integration of the national financial system into the global system, and clearing Sudan's landscape of war-related spillovers, including human trafficking, drug trade, currency smuggling, and gold smuggling.

All entities represented in the committee affirmed their commitment to implementing these requirements within their respective mandates.
