Khartoum: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces (SAF), General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, engaged in a meeting with Japan’s Special Envoy to the Horn of Africa, Mr. Shimizu Shinsuke, along with his delegation. This meeting was also attended by the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Omar Issa.
According to Sudan News Agency, General Al-Burhan expressed appreciation for the strong friendship between Sudan and Japan. He conveyed gratitude to the Japanese envoy for the assistance rendered by the Japanese government to Sudan, especially given the current circumstances.
The Japanese envoy, in a press statement, reiterated his country’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Sudan. He highlighted Japan’s ongoing and future assistance efforts, including numerous service and health projects aimed at benefiting the Sudanese population.
