TSC Advisor Discusses Humanitarian Efforts with UN Representative in Sudan

Khartoum: Advisor to the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) for Organizations and Humanitarian Action, Lt. Gen. Al-Sadig Ismail Mahmoud, met with United Nations Resident Representative in Sudan, Ms. Clementine Salami, as her tenure in Sudan comes to a close.

According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting focused on recent developments in the humanitarian situation in Sudan and explored ways to strengthen the partnership between Sudan and the United Nations. Lt. Gen. Al-Sadig Ismail encouraged Ms. Salami to continue her support for Sudan in her new role, wishing her success in her future endeavors and affirming the advisory’s commitment to maintaining a collaborative spirit with her successor.

Ms. Salami expressed her gratitude for the efforts made towards enhancing humanitarian initiatives in Sudan. She assured that UN agencies operating in the country are fully prepared to continue cooperating with the TSC advisory to further humanitarian goals and support communities in need.
