Khartoum: The Diplomatic Missions Security Police Unit and EU Mission Security Operations Department have inspected the extent of the systematic vandalization caused by the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia at the European Union headquarters. They also inspected the residence of the Ambassador and the EU Commissioner, as well as 16 other EU homes and offices.
According to Sudan News Agency, this came during a visit by a representative of the Diplomatic Missions Security Police Unit, accompanied by the EU Commissioner and Head of Security Operations at the Mission, Rifaat Mohamed El-Tayib, to the European Union headquarters in Khartoum, where specialized forces have been deployed to secure these premises.
The Diplomatic Missions Security Police Unit has begun securing embassies, consulates, and ambassadors’ residences in the capital, Khartoum, as part of the police work in Khartoum State.
The police press office’s follow-up reports that immediately after the General Directorate for Security of Facilities and Installations returned from the temporary administrative capital, Port Sudan, to Khartoum State, the national capital, the Diplomatic Missions Security Police Unit began its security duties at the various diplomatic missions’ headquarters spread throughout the capital, Khartoum.
