Ankara: Sudan’s Ambassador to Trkiye, Nadir Yousif Al-Tayib, held separate consultations in Ankara with the Ambassadors of Egypt, Georgia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina: Dr. Wael Badawy, Archil Kalandia, and Mirsada Colakovic.
According to Sudan News Agency, in his meeting with Ambassador Badawy, the two sides reviewed Sudan-Egypt relations, explored avenues to deepen cooperation, and exchanged views on regional developments and coordination within international fora. The ambassadors reaffirmed their determination to advance common interests and reinforce regional stability, underscoring the importance of the longstanding historical ties between the two nations.
Ambassador Al-Tayib’s meeting with Ambassador Kalandia focused on the grave violations committed by the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in Al-Fashir, including acts of ethnic cleansing, large-scale killings of civilians, and attacks on medical facilities such as the Saudi Hospital. He stressed that the conflict constitutes ‘external aggression,’ executed through support from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the form of mercenaries, weapons, and technology. He called for designating the RSF militia as a terrorist organization, rejected any Emirati role in mediation efforts, and urged Georgia to press for an end to such support. Ambassador Kalandia voiced deep concern over the scale of atrocities, questioned the limited international response, and requested continuous updates on developments.
In his meeting with Ambassador Colakovic, Ambassador Al-Tayib provided a comprehensive briefing on the situation in Sudan, particularly the systematic attacks in Al-Fashir targeting civilians and medical personnel, alongside other violations amounting to ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity. Ambassador Colakovic expressed profound understanding of the crisis, drawing parallels with Bosnia’s own experience, and signalled her readiness to offer legal expertise and facilitate connections with international criminal-justice specialists to support documentation and accountability efforts.
