Khartoum: Private schools in Omdurman have been mobilized to provide support to displaced individuals, in an initiative praised by the Acting Executive Director of Omdurman Locality, Mr. Yasser Omar Hashim. The effort, organized by the Ministry of Education and National Education in Khartoum State and Omdurman Locality, is under the auspices of the Director of the General Administration of Private Education in the state and supervised by the Executive Director of Omdurman Locality. It operates under the slogan “We are all Al-Fashir” and involves the presence of members of the locality’s security committee.
According to Sudan News Agency, Mr. Hashim commended the significant national role played by private schools in this mobilization effort. He emphasized that the initiative reflects the spirit of the Omdurman community, renowned for its generosity and courage, especially in times of need.
Mr. Hashim further announced his contribution of in-kind support to the migration convoy of newcomers, reiterating that Omdurman is open and welcoming to all those arriving, offering them the necessary support and assistance.
