Muscat: Sudan’s Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, Issam Awad Mutwali, welcomed the presence of Sudan’s national football team in Oman, affirming that the upcoming match against the Omani national team will help strengthen bilateral relations, as well as sports and cultural ties between the two countries.
According to Sudan News Agency, in a press statement, Ambassador Mutwali wished the team a pleasant stay in Oman and success in its friendly matches there, along with further achievements in the upcoming qualifier against Lebanon in Doha as part of the Arab Championship.
Sudan’s national football team is scheduled to play two matches in Oman – the first against the Omani national team on Friday, and the second against Oman’s Olympic team – before traveling to Doha for a decisive qualifier against Lebanon in the Arab Championship.
