Khartoum: Sudanese authorities have reassured that procedures are in place to allow refugee students to take the postponed 2024 Sudanese Certificate Examinations. These exams are now scheduled for June 29, 2025, with arrangements made to accommodate students in Chad at centers located in River Nile and Northern States.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Sudanese Certificate Examinations Emergency Chamber convened under the leadership of Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Khalil Pasha Sayreen, to assess the preparedness for the upcoming exams. Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Omar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, emphasized that all necessary preparations and technical procedures have been completed to ensure the exams proceed as planned.
The Ministry of Education has confirmed that the process of assigning seating numbers is well-organized and that necessary precautions have been implemented. Dr. Omar highlighted that arrangements have been made specifically for students from Darfur and refugee students in Chad to sit for the exams in the Northern and River Nile states, both of which are fully prepared to accommodate these students.
Furthermore, the emergency chamber will remain operational to address any obstacles that may arise, ensuring that students face no hindrances in sitting for their exams.
