El-Fashir: The Sixth Infantry Division in El-Fashir has confirmed its decisive control over the local situation, maintaining a high state of readiness to counter any threats from the militia led by Al-Dagalo.
According to Sudan News Agency, the division reported a recent attack where the militia executed artillery shelling on Sunday, targeting civilian areas in El-Fashir. This assault resulted in injuries to five civilians, who have since been hospitalized. In response, the division has intensified its operations, deploying troops throughout El-Fashir to secure and protect the civilian population.
In a related development, the National Health Insurance Fund has continued its support for medical facilities. Dr. Karam El-Din Ahmed Karam El-Din, the acting director of the state branch, delivered a shipment of intravenous solutions to the El-Fashir Military Hospital. This handover, attended by military and medical officials, is part of efforts to bolster the hospital’s capacity to treat both military personnel and civilians affected by the ongoing conflict.
Additionally, the director of the National Health Insurance Fund, along with department heads, visited the Zamzam Camp Health Center. The center has resumed operations to aid displaced individuals affected by the recent militia attack. The visit included a comprehensive review of the center’s operations, supply levels, and the challenges it faces. The director committed to supporting the health system despite resource constraints.
