Sennar: Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. (Police) Babiker Samra, paid an inspection visit to Sennar State on Thursday to review the overall security and service conditions, as well as the administrative performance of the state police. During the visit, the minister held a series of meetings with the State Security Committee and senior police leadership and Directorates in Sennar State.
According to Sudan News Agency, on the sidelines of the visit, Minister Samra inaugurated several new police service facilities in the city of Sennar to enhance services provided to police personnel. The Interior Minister affirmed the noticeable security and service recovery in Sennar State following the restoration of normal life, praising the rapid resumption of full operations by service and security institutions.
He also stressed the importance of strengthening protection and security during the agricultural harvest season to ensure production safety and contribute to achieving food security. For his part, Sennar State Wali (Governor), Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Al-Zubair Hassan Al-Sayid, noted the remarkable security stability in the state thanks to coordination and harmony among security bodies, affirming that services are proceeding smoothly and that the state has entered the summer crop harvest season.
Meanwhile, Sennar State Police Director, Maj. Gen. (Police) Abdel-Latif Awad Balam, stated that the Minister’s visit included inspections of various police units across the state, a review of the overall crime situation, and monitoring of the active participation of police forces in securing the harvest operations.
