Khartoum: Dr. Nour El-Din Daoud Moussa, Director General of the Ministry of Production and Economic Resources in Sennar State and Acting Minister, engaged in discussions today with the Director of the CTC Center, Sennar branch, focusing on cooperation to enhance agricultural production through technology transfer and guidance.
According to Sudan News Agency, the minister commended the Middle Trading Company's contribution to the agricultural sector, highlighting the company's technology transfer center which has been instrumental in delivering various services. He expressed optimism that these services would be extended to all farmers, aiming for increased productivity.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to establish a joint cooperation framework to benefit agricultural engineers and the farming community. Additionally, plans were made to organize awareness workshops on modern products and technologies, and to select farmers for adopting advanced technologies to boost production.
The minister emphasized the ministry's dedication to creating an environment conducive to agricultural development in Sennar State. Tariq Mohammed Ahmed Ali, director of the CTC Sennar branch, stated that the meeting was a success, with both parties outlining cooperation strategies.
Tariq mentioned that the agreement encompasses training programs for ministry engineers and supplying agricultural products and inputs to Sennar State farmers within two months. Plans were also made to conduct joint projects, field training for engineers, and organize field days and demonstration plots to enhance production, agricultural development, and technology transfer.
This collaboration is part of the Ministry of Production and Economic Resources' strategy in Sennar State to foster partnerships with key stakeholders to support agricultural development and provide essential assistance to farmers for increased output.
