Warsaw: Sudan's Ambassador to Germany, Ilham Ibrahim Mohamed Ahmed, who also serves as the non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Poland, held a meeting with the President of Poland, Mr. Karol Nawrocki, at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw. This interaction occurred during the annual New Year reception hosted by the Polish President for heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Poland.
According to Sudan News Agency, Ambassador Ilham conveyed greetings and congratulations from His Excellency President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, to the Polish President. During the meeting, Ambassador Ilham expressed her hope that Poland would support the "Government of Hope" peace initiative, which was presented by Sudanese Prime Minister Professor Kamil Al-Tayib Idris to the Security Council. She also expressed gratitude for the existing cooperation and humanitarian support extended by the Polish government.
In response, President Nawrocki reaffirmed Poland's continued support for Sudan and expressed his hopes for peace and stability in the country.
