Khartoum: The Security and Defense Council has expressed commendation for the involvement of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and US President Donald Trump in Sudanese affairs, highlighting their commitment to achieving peace in the region. This recognition was part of the outcomes of a recent meeting chaired by Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting included a statement read by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohi El-Din Salem, which reviewed the current security and political landscape in Sudan. The Council praised the efforts of the armed forces and supporting units across various battlefronts, celebrating the victories achieved.
The Council denounced ongoing atrocities in El Fasher and other regions, and it expressed gratitude toward international figures, specifically Prince Mohammed bin Salman and President Trum
p, for their dedication to fostering a peace that maintains Sudan’s unity and territorial integrity.
In addition, the Security and Defense Council instructed relevant authorities to address the proposal submitted by Massad Boulos, the US President’s Advisor for Arab and African Affairs. The Council reiterated its commitment to the vision previously outlined by the Sudanese government to the United Nations and other pertinent parties.
The Council also assured its dedication to facilitating humanitarian aid, ensuring the safety of aid workers, and keeping transportation routes, including border crossings and airports, accessible. This commitment underscores the Council’s focus on safeguarding the nation’s security, stability, and sovereignty.
