Dongola: The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Tourism in the Northern State, Dr. Abdul Rahman Ibrahim Saeed, conducted inspections of several hotels and resorts in Dongola. Accompanied by members of various council departments, the inspection aimed to assess the readiness of these facilities for the forthcoming Dongola Capital of Tourism project in 2026.
According to Sudan News Agency, the inspection tour is part of broader arrangements to ensure that Dongola's hospitality sector is fully prepared for the project. Dr. Saeed emphasized the importance of involving hotel and resort owners, as well as other stakeholders, to guarantee the project's success. The initiative aims to highlight the heritage, culture, and civilization of the Northern State.
