Khartoum: The official spokesperson for the Sudanese Armed Forces, Brigadier General Nabil Abdullah, addressed recent claims concerning the actions of the Sudanese military in the Al-Hammadi area of South Kordofan State. In his press statements on Sunday, Abdullah firmly denied the allegations that the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) were involved in the killing of civilians, dismissing these accusations as false and ridiculous. He attributed the spread of such claims to the Al-Dagalo militia and their political affiliates.
According to Sudan News Agency, Brigadier General Abdullah emphasized the role of the armed forces in safeguarding Sudanese citizens, asserting that they have been a protective force against the “brutality and violations” perpetrated by the militia. He highlighted the positive reception from local citizens, who reportedly welcome the SAF with open arms as they move through various areas. Abdullah argued that the citizens’ testimonies serve as evidence of the military’s protective actions and the unfounded nature of the allegations against them.
