El-Fashir: The 6th Infantry Division in El-Fashir has announced that the Armed Forces (SAF) and its supporting forces had managed on Sunday to cut off a fleeing Rapid Support Forces (RSF) force in five combat vehicles on the southern and northeastern fronts. Fierce clashes took place, but the forces suffered losses in lives and equipment.
According to Sudan News Agency, the 6th Division confirmed in its press briefing that the clashes resulted in the destruction of three vehicles on the southern front, as well as two four-wheel-drive Land Cruisers armed with (23) machine guns. It also noted the deaths and injuries of a number of militia members.
In a regrettable development, and an extension of the terrorist militia’s series of crimes against unarmed civilians in El-Fashir, it shelled the city’s neighborhoods with (120) shells and launched a squadron of suicide drones, resulting in the martyrdom of (7) civilians, including two women, and the injury of (15) others who were transferred to hospitals and health centers for treatment.
The Sixth Infantry Division offered its condolences to the families of the martyrs, wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded. The Sixth Infantry Division called on the citizens of El-Fashir to exercise caution and avoid moving around during the shelling to protect their lives and those of their families.
It reassured citizens that the situation is under the control of the armed forces, indicating its readiness and preparedness to confront any aggression targeting El-Fashir.
