Khartoum: A meeting of directors from general departments within the Red Sea Health Directorate convened to deliberate on proposals for the administration's plan for 2026. The gathering focused on evaluating strategies to enhance the health services across the state.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Ministry of Health in Red Sea State reaffirmed its commitment to addressing existing challenges and problems to stabilize the health situation in the region. Dr. Ahlam Abdul Rasoul, the Director General of the Health Sector and Acting Minister of the State, highlighted the necessity of integrating efforts among general and branch departments. She emphasized the importance of collaboration to develop health services and expand their reach, ensuring that all gaps are covered.
The meeting took place in the General Administration Hall in Port Sudan, where the work plan was presented by the General Administration for Planning, Policies, and Development. Dr. Rasoul praised the plan, underscoring the importance of governance and the operations of the administrations. The plan focused on six key policies: human resources, health financing, medicines, technologies, health emergencies, health information, and the provision of basic healthcare services. Discussions also centered on the significance of enhancing the health system, capacity building, training, regulations, and labor laws.
