Port Sudan: Transitional Prime Minister, Dr. Kamil Idris, has affirmed that the state would place health and treatment services among its urgent national priorities, expressing his keenness to enable citizens to obtain stable and quality medication. Kamil Idris inspected the progress of treatment and health services at Prince Osman Digna Hospital in Port Sudan on Sunday, accompanied by the Wali (governor) of the Red Sea State, Lt. Gen. Mustafa Mohamed Nour.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Prime Minister praised the level of service provided at the hospital during the Eid Al-Adha holiday. Dr. Mohamed Kamal Ahmed, Director General of Prince Osman Digna Hospital, stated in press statements that the Prime Minister inspected all departments at the hospital and ensured that medical services were flowing smoothly.
He noted that Dr. Kamil Idris praised the dedication of the hospital staff during the holiday. He added that Kamil Idris’ visit is a major morale boost for all health sector workers and a confirmation from the Prime Minister’s Office that medical services are among the priorities of the next government. He said that the White Army-health sector workers-thanked the Prime Minister for the visit.
