Khartoum: Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris affirmed the government's commitment to supporting and upgrading health centers with the latest medical equipment to strengthen and advance the healthcare system and improve services for citizens.
According to Sudan News Agency, this commitment was expressed during a meeting between the Prime Minister and Mohamed Zaki, the Head of the Steering and Development Committee of Hillat-al-Sheikh Khojaly in Shambat. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Health Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim.
Zaki reported that he informed the Prime Minister about ongoing collaborative efforts with the Ministry of Health to establish a new health center in the area. He highlighted that the foundation stone of the health center will soon be laid by the Prime Minister.
Zaki further mentioned that the establishment of this health center has been a long-standing aspiration of the local community for over 35 years. He expressed gratitude for the Prime Minister's dedication to ensuring that all necessary resources are provided for the project.
