Khartoum: Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris reviewed the Ministry of Minerals' plan to curb gold smuggling, as well as its geological survey programme, whose field teams are expected to be deployed next week.
According to Sudan News Agency, this development came during his meeting on Monday with Minister of Minerals Nour El-Daem Mohamed. The Minister stated in a press release that he briefed the Prime Minister on the ministry's strategy to regulate traditional mining and mitigate its environmental impacts.
