Khartoum: The Council of Ministers held its meeting on Thursday in Khartoum, chaired by Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism, Dr. Geraham Abdel-Gadir, stated that the meeting reviewed and was reassured by the briefing delivered by Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Bashir Haroun, regarding the arrangements and measures undertaken by his ministry for this year's Hajj.According to Sudan News Agency, Dr. Abdel-Gadir further indicated that Minister of Education and Patriotic Upbringing, Dr. Al-Tohami Al-Zain Hajar, presented a detailed update on the progress of the Sudanese Secondary School Certificate Examinations, outlining the efforts exerted to ensure their integrity and smooth administration. The Council of Ministers expressed its appreciation to all partners involved in the secondary school examinations and to personnel across the educational sector. It noted that the strong turnout of students sitting the examinations, along w ith the orderly conduct of exams in Khartoum State, provides reassurance regarding the stability of the situation in the national capital.Dr. Abdel-Gadir added that Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare, Dr. Mua'tasim Ahmed Salih, submitted a report on vocational training and apprenticeship examinations, underscoring their significance, particularly as vocational training constitutes a successful investment in the country by supplying productive sectors with qualified professionals.
