Khartoum: Prime Minister Kamil Idris received the Swiss Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, Ambassador Sylvain Astaire, following his swearing-in and official assumption of his position on Saturday. The meeting focused on enhancing joint cooperation and exploring prospects for achieving peace and stability in Sudan and the Horn of Africa region.
According to Sudan News Agency, the discussions between Prime Minister Idris and Ambassador Astaire were part of Idris’s first international engagement since taking office. Both leaders emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to address ongoing challenges in the region.
