Prime Minister Evaluates Sudanese Mineral Resources Company’s Role in Mining Sector


Khartoum: Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris reviewed the performance of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, with a focus on its regulatory role in the mining sector and its contributions to corporate social responsibility in host communities.

According to Sudan News Agency, the briefing came during a meeting in Khartoum with the company’s Director General, Mohamed Tahir Omer. Omer stated in a press release that the Prime Minister issued a series of directives aimed at enhancing performance, boosting production in the mining sector, maximizing revenues, and ensuring comprehensive oversight of mining activities.

He added that the Prime Minister pledged to resolve all issues raised during the meeting, noting that the engagement is expected to have a significant positive impact on the mining sector and on miners across the country.
