Port Sudan: A networking meeting was held in Portsudan on Sunday evening, chaired by Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Jabir. The meeting was attended by ministers and undersecretaries of the economic sector and relevant government units.
According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting heard a detailed report from the government data exchange and transactions platform, which addressed the need to update the platform using modern technology and expand its reach. Minister of Culture and Information and Government Spokesperson Khalid Al-Aiser explained that the meeting aimed at advancing the state’s efforts in the process of electronic payment and digital transformation. He noted that the meeting stressed the necessity to strengthen coordination between government institutions and complete the networking process.
The meeting also recommended connecting all companies to the platform, intensifying training programs, and providing government institutions with expertise. Additionally, it emphasized opening up broad opportunities for youth employment and leveraging their knowledge to drive technological development within the context of the desired governance and e-government.
