Langkawi: Sudan, represented by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Ahmed Salih Ahmed Aboud, along with Sudan’s Ambassador to Malaysia, Hassan Abdul Salam Omar, and Acting Military Attach© at the Embassy, Dr. Engineer Ahmed Mukhtar Mohamed Ali, participated in the My Aero Conference, held Wednesday, on the fringes of the Langkawi International Maritime and Aviation Exhibition 2025 (LIMA) on the Malaysian island of Langkawi.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Sudanese delegation participated in the main session, titled “Digitization and Artificial Intelligence: Elements of Change in Smarter and Sustainable Supply Chains,” which touched on the role of digital transformation and smart technologies in shaping the future of supply chains, particularly in the aviation and defense sectors.
The session discussed the Malaysian government’s vision for implementing artificial intelligence in key areas based on the Malaysian National AI Plan. These areas include the health sector, smart agriculture, transportation and air mobility, smart cities, education, public administration, and services. The session also highlighted the applications of artificial intelligence in the aviation sector, including aircraft maintenance, repair, and operation (MRO), air transport, and operations management, as well as its role in enhancing procedural efficiency and improving operational processes.
The session also addressed Malaysia-led initiatives to achieve more sustainable and environmentally friendly aviation by promoting green solutions and adopting sustainable practices in manufacturing, operations, and alternative fuel technology.
Sudan’s participation in this conference reflects its interest in digital transformation and future technologies, and its willingness to enhance international cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence and advanced technology, in line with global trends toward efficiency and sustainability.
