Riyadh: Minister of Youth and Sports, Professor Ahmed Adam Ahmed, met in the Saudi capital Riyadh with a group of e-sports representatives on the sidelines of his participation in the Islamic Solidarity Championship. Discussions focused on the nature of e-sports and their growing global importance, as well as ways to develop this field in Sudan and to officially register clubs and players through the ministry.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Minister emphasized that e-sports represent a promising future direction for youth in the digital age, stressing the need to keep pace with technological advancements and to nurture Sudanese talents in this field, viewing it as a new platform for creativity, the making of champions, and the creation of digital opportunities.
E-sports are among the fastest-growing sectors worldwide, combining entertainment, technology, and athletic competition. They include popular games such as FIFA, eFootball, PUBG, Dota 2, and League of Legends.
E-sports rely on intelligence, quick reflexes, and high concentration-making them an activity that blends mental skill, teamwork, and strategic planning.
