Minister of Youth and Sports Announces Comprehensive Plan to Rehabilitate Sports Infrastructure

Khartoum: Minister of Youth and Sports Professor Ahmed Adam Ahmed announced the launch of a comprehensive plan to rehabilitate sports and youth infrastructure in Khartoum State, revealing that approximately 95% of facilities were destroyed during the war.

According to Sudan News Agency, during the 52nd briefing forum at the Cultural Center in Omdurman, the Minister outlined efforts to assess damages, form specialized committees, and initiate reconstruction programs. He emphasized the participation of youth in rebuilding essential infrastructure like schools, hospitals, and sports facilities, demonstrating a strong sense of national responsibility and support for social stability.

The Minister also highlighted the successful organization of the 'Khartoum Festival,' which marked the return of sports activities in the capital, featuring wide participation in athletics and cycling events.

Furthermore, he discussed initiatives from the First Youth Conference in River Nile State, which include plans to develop an industrial youth city, offer international training opportunities, provide project financing, and support postgraduate study programs.
