Khartoum: The Governor of Darfur Region, Minni Arko Minawi, held a significant meeting with Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sada, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Sudan. In this meeting, comprehensive discussions took place concerning the humanitarian situation in both Darfur and Sudan as a whole.
According to Sudan News Agency, Minawi emphasized the vital services provided by Qatar to the Sudanese people, particularly those in Darfur. He highlighted the profound cooperation between Sudan and Qatar, expressing the Sudanese government’s gratitude for Qatar’s ongoing support amidst the challenges posed by the ongoing conflict initiated by the rebel Rapid Support Forces militias.
Minawi expressed his appreciation, stating, “We renew our thanks and appreciation to the State of Qatar, government and people, for standing by the Sudanese people and providing humanitarian aid through the regular air bridge since the beginning of the war.” This statement underscores the critical role Qatar plays in al
leviating the hardships faced by many in the region.
