Khartoum: The Executive Director of Bahri Locality, Abdulrahman Ahmed Abdulrahman, today inspected the Ahmed Qasim Specialized Hospital for Heart Diseases, Surgery, and Kidney Transplantation, to directly assess the progress of the ongoing maintenance and rehabilitation work at this important health facility.
According to Sudan News Agency, the visit comes as a follow-up to efforts to restore life to the hospital, which suffered extensive damage and destruction to its infrastructure and medical equipment during the period when the brutal militia controlled the area, leading to the cessation of its vital services to citizens.
During his inspection tour, which included the various departments of the hospital, the CEO confirmed that the maintenance and rehabilitation work is proceeding according to plan, expressing his optimism that the hospital will soon resume providing its specialized medical services after its complete rehabilitation.
Abdulrahman praised the tireless efforts of the maintenance teams and relevant authorities, considering the return of this health facility to operation a top priority for serving the local community and neighboring areas, and alleviating the suffering of patients.
It is worth mentioning that Ahmed Qassem Hospital is one of the important specialized health facilities in the field of heart and kidney, and its closure has created a large gap in advanced medical services, making its reactivation a vital and urgent matter for thousands of patients.
