Geneva: Minister of Health Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim arrived in Geneva on Sunday, heading Sudan’s delegation to the 78th session of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) General Assembly. He was received at the airport by Sudan’s Permanent Representative to Geneva, Ambassador Hassan Hamid Hassan.
According to Sudan News Agency, in addition to participating in the organization’s main meetings, the minister will hold a series of meetings with his counterparts, including heads of delegations and ministers, as well as joint meetings with senior WHO officials.
In his statement to the plenary session, the minister is scheduled to review the extent of the vandalization to the health system as a result of rebel militias targeting health, service, and strategic facilities.
