Dinder: Mr. Al-Dawahmed Yaqoub, Executive Director of Dinder Locality, inaugurated today the commencement of work on a project to illuminate Dinder's markets and main streets with alternative energy at a cost exceeding 350 million Sudanese pounds. This project is part of the locality's plans and programs, supported by the local government and a generous donor from Dinder. He stressed that this project will contribute effectively to securing markets and neighborhoods.
According to Sudan News Agency, all preparations are complete for the opening of the new popular market on the asphalt road between Sinja, Dinder, and Hawata, which was inaugurated by the Governor of Sennar State as part of the country's Independence Day celebrations, in order to accommodate the major economic activity taking place in the Dinder locality.
Moreover, local authorities will construct a middle school in the city of Dinder to accommodate students, as part of the 2026 plan and budget for the Dinder locality. This year will also witness the rehabilitation of the accident hospital in the city of Dinder to alleviate the suffering of citizens, along with the rehabilitation of rural hospitals and health centers, in cooperation with the Ministries of Health and Finance in Sennar State and with the support of the Federal Dinder Reserve Forces for the accident hospital.
Mr. Yaqoub expressed his gratitude to the Governor of Sennar State for his continued support and follow-up on these service projects.
