Justice Minister Urges Council of Arab Justice Ministers to Condemn RSF Violations.
Cairo: Minister of Justice Dr. Moawia Osman Mohamed Khair, on behalf of the Sudanese government, has called on the Council of Arab Justice Ministers to condemn the heinous violations of international human rights law and international humanitarian law committed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. He urged the council to consider classifying the RSF as a terrorist group and to appeal to countries and international and regional organizations to immediately cease any form of support to these rebel forces.
According to Sudan News Agency, this appeal was made during Dr. Mohamed Khair’s participation in the 40th session of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers held in the Arab Republic of Egypt. During the session, he delivered a comprehensive speech highlighting the violations and crimes committed by the rebel militia forces.
The Minister emphasized that these actions represent severe violations of international human rights and humanitarian laws, as well as breaches of national laws. He stated that the S
udanese armed forces have been fulfilling their constitutional and legal duties by confronting the attacks of these rebel militias to preserve the safety and unity of the country, and to protect civilians and infrastructure.
Dr. Mohamed Khair further noted that the Sudanese government has actively sought to end the war through peaceful means and has facilitated the delivery of humanitarian aid to those affected by the conflict. This effort included pardoning individuals who surrendered to the armed forces and engaging with regional and international initiatives.
He also referenced the Jeddah Declaration, which outlined obligations for both the armed forces and the rebel militia. Despite the armed forces adhering to their commitments, the militia has not fulfilled its obligations, including vacating the homes of citizens it occupied and facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need.

rcenaries as factors that have exacerbated and prolonged the conflict. He mentioned that the Sudanese government has filed a complaint against the Republic of Chad with the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights, through the Committee for the Establishment and Follow-up of International Lawsuits against the RSF, their leaders, and supporting countries.
Dr. Mohamed Khair expressed Sudan’s sincere appreciation to sister countries for their support during this challenging time, whether through sponsoring negotiations aimed at achieving a ceasefire, hosting Sudanese refugees, or providing humanitarian aid.
