Joint Force Announces Liberation of the Ataroun Area from RSF Grip

Geneva: The Joint Force of Armed Struggle Movements has announced the liberation of the strategic “Ataroun” area in the North Darfur desert from the grip of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Militia, inflicting it heavy losses in lives and equipment.

According to Sudan News Agency, the force expressed pride in the liberation, noting that this achievement was the result of a precise military operation carried out by the joint forces in cooperation with the Sudanese Armed Forces.

In a statement issued on behalf of the official spokesman for the joint force, Colonel Ahmed Hussein Mustafa, the joint force said that the liberation of Ataroun represents a decisive step towards restoring security and stability in the Darfur region.

It reflects the joint force’s commitment to protecting civilians and securing Sudanese territory, as well as enabling it to closely monitor any movements on the country’s western borders.

The force affirmed its continued efforts to defeat the militias and restore security throughout the region so that the Sudanese people can enjoy peace and dignity.

The joint force called on the people of Darfur and all of Sudan to unite and support these national efforts, stressing that victory is on the side of truth.

It prayed to Allah Almighty to bestow His mercy on the martyrs, a speedy recovery on the wounded, the return of the missing, and to protect Sudan and its people from all harms.
