Khartoum: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Assistant Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Engineer Ibrahim Jabir, has appealed to the international community and the United Nations to pressure donors to honor their commitments made at the Paris Conference in April 2024. The pledges were aimed at supporting humanitarian efforts and facilitating aid operations in Sudan.
According to Sudan News Agency, Jabir delivered this message during his speech at the second briefing forum for humanitarian response held at the Coral Hotel. The forum was organized by the Joint National Committee for Humanitarian Emergencies.
Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Jabir expressed his gratitude to countries, United Nations agencies, and organizations that have supported Sudan. He extended special thanks to the President of South Sudan, General Salva Kiir Mayardit, for his collaboration with TSC President, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, to enable the transfer of aid from Juba to Kadugli. tribution is ongoing in areas near Kadugli.
Additionally, Jabir acknowledged the efforts of national organizations in providing relief to those affected by destruction and displacement in Al-Gezira State, as well as those seeking refuge in Al-Faw, Al-Sobbagh, Shendi, and Halfa.
