Jabir Emphasizes Sudan’s Commitment to Humanitarian Aid Delivery.

PORT SUDAN: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Engineer Ibrahim Jabir Ibrahim, has reaffirmed Sudan’s dedication to ensuring the efficient delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need and supporting the efforts of relief teams and organizations.

According to Sudan News Agency, during a meeting with the European Union Envoy to the Horn of Africa, Ms. Annette Weber, Lt. Gen. Jabir highlighted the steps taken by the Sudanese government to facilitate humanitarian work. These measures include opening various crossings and local airports to expedite the entry of humanitarian aid into the country.

Lt. Gen. Jabir briefed Ms. Weber on Sudan’s openness to initiatives promoting security and stability, emphasizing the importance of the Jeddah platform in maintaining the rights of the Sudanese people. He described the events of April 15 as a coup against the government, supported by external forces, and urged the European Union to exert pressure on
regional and international entities to halt the flow of weapons and mercenaries into Sudan.

In response, the EU representative expressed appreciation for the Sudanese government’s efforts to enhance and support humanitarian activities, underscoring the importance of ongoing cooperation in this field.
