Khartoum: Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. (Police) Babiker Samra Mustafa, conducted an inspection visit to the Civil Registry and Passports Directorates to assess the administrative and technical arrangements. The visit was attended by high-ranking officials including General (Police) Khalid Hassan Mohieddin, Director General of Police Forces; Lt. Gen. (Police) Abdel Moneim Mohamed Abdel Gayyum, Head of the Financial Affairs Directorate; and Lt. Gen. (Police) Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed Shamin, Head of the Administrative Affairs Directorate.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Minister received a detailed briefing on the operations of the General Directorate of Civil Registry from Major General Khojali Khairallah, Director of the Public Affairs Department. The briefing included a review of the work plan for the rehabilitation of buildings, maintenance work, and a study concerning the data center. The restoration of electricity and network services was also discussed, with progress reported to be on track with established plans.
Maj. Gen. Nasr El Din Mohamed Fadl El Mawla, Director of the Foreigners at the General Directorate of Passports and Immigration, confirmed that the Abu Adam Center is fully operational, providing necessary services to local citizens. This development comes after the operation of the Halfaya and Karari centers and the ongoing preparations at the Bahri and East Nile centers.
According to follow up by the Police Press Office, the Interior Minister emphasized the importance of making passport, civil registry, and vehicle licensing services accessible to citizens within their residential areas through service centers located across all localities in Khartoum State. The Ministry of Interior and the Police Forces Command are committed to supplying the necessary technical equipment and devices to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
