Tokyo: African ambassadors accredited to Tokyo observed a minute of silence on Thursday in solidarity with the victims of the genocide in El-Fashir, which was carried out by the terrorist Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia against the city’s residents.
According to Sudan News Agency, the gesture took place during the monthly meeting of the African Ambassadors Group in Tokyo, following a briefing delivered by Sudan’s Ambassador in Tokyo, Al-Rayah Haidoub, who urged the group to stand with Sudan in condemning the crime and the acts committed by the terrorist RSF militia against the people of El-Fashir-atrocities that have drawn global condemnation and widespread coverage across international media.
The monthly meeting was chaired by Angolan Ambassador Tudolind Rosa Raderfio, with Cameroonian Ambassador Dr. Perry Zingueu serving as the Dean of the group. The Counselor Ali Mohamed Ahmed Osman from the Sudanese mission also participated in the meeting.
The Sudanese Embassy in Tokyo will continue its efforts to expose the RSF militia and its backers-particularly the United Arab Emirates (UAE)-while strengthening engagement with both the Japanese government and public.
In the same context, Ambassador Haidoub stated that the RSF militia has become internationally isolated due to the violations it committed in El-Fashir on ethnic grounds involving acts of mass killings and genocide. He stressed that the RSF has lost any moral legitimacy to play a political role in Sudan’s future.
He further affirmed that the Sudanese Armed Forces are capable of protecting civilians and preserving Sudan’s unity, noting that the army has the strength to defeat the militia as it did previously in Khartoum, Al-Gezira, and other cities, which have since become stable and safe, with large numbers of residents returning to their homes.
