New york: The UN Security Council will hold a meeting at 10 p.m. on Thursday to discuss the situation in Sudan, following the recent escalation of attacks by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the city of El-Fashir, North Darfur State.
According to Sudan News Agency, council members will receive briefings from two UN officials before moving into closed consultations, during which the Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General to Sudan will deliver remarks. Meanwhile, the UN Independent International Fact-Finding Mission for Sudan will present its report to the General Assembly.
