Interior Minister Briefed on Security and Humanitarian Situation in White Nile

Rabak: Interior Minister Lt. Gen. Khalil Pasha Sayreen has been briefed on the overall security, operational, and criminal situation, as well as the positions of newcomers and refugees in White Nile State. This occurred during a joint meeting at the White Nile Government Secretariat General, attended by the state security committee and led by the Wali of White Nile State, Omar Al-Khalifa Abdullah, alongside Directors of General Directorates at the Ministry of Interior.

According to Sudan News Agency, leaders from the military, police, security, and judicial bodies informed the minister about the effective coordination among these entities, contributing to security stability. The Minister of Interior stated that the purpose of his visit was to assess the condition of military, security, and police forces, while boosting their morale as they defend against rebel militia aggression. He acknowledged the significant contributions of the state in supporting military forces, which aided in the liberation of areas such as Jebel Moya, Singa, Madani, and Om Rawaba in North Kordofan, highlighting the high morale and coordination of the security forces and state institutions.

The minister extended congratulations to the armed forces and their supporters for victories in military operations, attributing success to divine support, strategic military planning, and professional execution. He commended the 18th Infantry Division’s leadership and extensive involvement in military advancements. Additionally, he appreciated the state’s efforts in assisting newcomers and refugees with humanitarian aid, and its role in the success of the Sudanese Certificate Exams and the currency change campaign.

Omar Al-Khalifa Abdullah, the Wali of White Nile State, expressed gratitude for the Interior Minister’s visit and noted the police’s ongoing support for armed forces in military operations. He highlighted the reception of three million newcomers, which added significant responsibilities to the state’s security committee, alongside the presence of nearly one and a half million southern refugees in and outside camps.
