Housing and Women’s Issues Conferences in Egypt Condemn RSF Militia Violations in Sudan.

Port Sudan: Sudan participated in three conferences in the Arab Republic of Egypt during the past few days, condemning the violations of the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia against Sudanese citizens. Minister of Social Development Mohamed Adam Bakheet, upon his arrival at Portsudan Airport, revealed Sudan’s active involvement in these forums, highlighting the pressing concerns regarding the RSF’s actions.

According to Sudan News Agency, Minister Bakheet led the Sudanese delegation at the Arab Council for Population and Development conference on November 25. During this session, Sudan handed over the presidency of the council’s fifth session to the Republic of Syria. The conference resulted in several decisions aimed at benefiting the population across Arab countries, with a particular focus on the impacts of ongoing conflicts in Sudan, Palestine, and Lebanon.

Minister Bakheet emphasized that the Sudanese delegation detailed the atrocities committed by the RSF militia, which they described as a terr
orist organization. The delegation pointed out that the RSF is allegedly supported by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), urging Arab nations to collectively appeal to the UAE to cease its support for the militia to facilitate an end to the conflict.

On November 26, the Sudanese representatives participated in the Arab Women’s Group meeting, attended by seven countries still grappling with conflict: Sudan, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Libya. Subsequently, on November 27-28, they attended the Fourth Ministerial Conference on Women, Peace, and Security, which coincided with the 21st Conference of the Arab Women’s Organization Executive Council.

Minister Bakheet reported that each of these conferences concluded with communiqués that specifically condemned the violations occurring in Sudan. The condemnations were explicitly directed at the RSF militia, reflecting the insistence of the Sudanese delegation to address these issues on an international stage.
